Mayor Burton’s Statement following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Town Council and I are very sorry to hear that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II has died. Oakville residents and Canadians appreciate her tireless work during her historic reign.

The Queen’s visit to Oakville in 2002 was well-received by residents and we are proud of her lifetime of service and dedication.

Our thoughts are with all those who are deeply affected by Her Majesty’s passing.

The flags at Town Hall will be flown at half-mast from now until sunset on the day of the memorial service of Her Majesty the Queen.
