Mayor Burton’s statement on the one year anniversary of the declaration of a state of emergency in Oakville

A year into the pandemic emergency my sadness at the lives and jobs we’ve lost is only offset by my pride at how our community, Town staff and Council have stepped up to keep moving forward on our shared goals and vision, even in adversity.

To commemorate the Oakville residents who have passed away in the past year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic flags will be flown at half-mast at Town hall and town facilities, as we mark the one-year anniversary of the town’s declaration of a state of emergency.
