Town opens cooling centre on June 20 and 21, 2020

To help residents combat the heat, the town is opening Trafalgar Park Community Centre as a cooling centre from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, June 21.

There is a possibility that the heat alert will extend into Monday, June 22. In that case, the cooling centre at Trafalgar Park Community Centre will be open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. as a cooling centre.

This facility will offer an air-conditioned space for people to rest and grab a cool drink (water fountain only). Strict infection prevention and control measures will be in place, including:
