Committees

Interested in getting involved with town discussions? We have several volunteer committees that offer residents an opportunity to provide input on town matters.

Council draws on the expertise of citizen volunteer members of advisory committees and boards to provide input on matters within the town.

Council invites you to volunteer to participate on advisory committees and boards. All Oakville residents are encouraged to get involved promoting and strengthening the sense of community, diversity and multiculturalism in our community.

Visit the Advisory Committees and Boards page for more information.

The Administrative Services and Community Services Committees were discontinued by Council on November 18, 2019.

Items that were presented to these committees are now going directly to Council meetings. Delegation requests will be taken in advance and at the meeting.

The remaining standing committee is the Budget Committee which is held separately, reporting to Council with its recommendations.

The Budget Committee meets each year. The number of meetings is determined by the committee, to review and make recommendations on the proposed annual operating and capital budgets for the upcoming year.
