Council-approved fees that are charged for additional work or requests for financial or tax-related services. 

Administrative charges

  • Returned payment: $45
  • Overpayment refund: $30
  • Transfer of payment(s): $20
  • Retrieval of cheque scan: $10
  • New ownership administration fee: $50

Applications

  • Older Adult Tax Deferral Program application fee: $50
  • Tax appeal application under Section 357 of the Act: $20 each

Charges added to tax roll

  • First occurrence charge: $80 each
  • Second and subsequent charge: $150 each
  • Order fee: $40 each

Statements/bills

  • Statement of account, duplicate or bill reprint: $25
  • Manually prepared detailed tax statement/receipt: $30

Tax registration charges

  • Property title search for tax registration: $315
  • Tax sale proceeding administrative fee: $1,550
  • Tax sale by public tender: $4,500

Other

  • Certified tax statements - only available online: $68
  • Arrears notice: $5 per notice
  • Mortgage company tax information request: $5 per property
