Halton Region provides curbside waste collection to help residents manage their household and special event waste. For more information, visit Halton Region's Recycling and Waste page.
Pick up or exchange a Blue Box or Green Cart
Halton residents may pick up one free Blue Box each year. Broken Blue Boxes and broken Green Carts are recycled into new containers and may be returned and exchanged for free.

Monday - Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
If you need to pick-up a Blue Box or Green Cart, please visit the Halton Waste Management Site. In order to ensure a sufficient supply is available to all residences, one blue box and one green cart per vehicle will be provided.
Backyard composters may be picked up at the Halton Waste Management Site. Call 311 or check online availability before visiting.
Garbage tag program
Residents must attach a tag to each bag in excess of the three-bag limit. Tags cost $2 each and all bags over the three bag/can limit must have a tag attached.
