Lot Grading Certifications

The Development Engineering Permits and Applications (DEPA) are the Development Engineering Permits (DENG) and Development Engineering Site Plan (DESP). 

These permits and applications are generally for residential site alteration, tear down/re-build, swimming pool installation etc. Grading Certification and Stormwater Device Certification are to be submitted when requesting for final inspection for the purpose of security releases.

All certifications must be signed by an Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS), Professional Engineer of Ontario (P.Eng.) or Landscape Architect (L.A.). On-site inspection by the OLS, P.Eng. or L.A. must be completed within 30 days prior to signing the certification.

Certificate 1 - Lot Grading Certification

Used for grading works such as tear down/rebuild, swimming pool, site alteration, etc.

Certificate 2 - Lot Grading and Stormwater Device Certification

Used for grading and storm devices.

Certificate 3 - Stormwater Device Certification

Used for stormwater devices. This certification is used in conjunction with certification 1.
