Taxi Licence

You can now submit your business licence application online. Use Chrome or Safari for the best experience. 

If this is your first time using the town’s online services, you will need to create an account by setting up a username and password. Select sign in and then select the option to sign up. If you already have a town account, you may be able to use your username and password which you previously created.

You will require:

• A current valid Class ‘G’ driver’s licence issued by the Province of Ontario.
• An Ontario driver’s abstract issued by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario within 30 days of the date of application.
• An original Canadian record check issued by an accredited Canadian police service within 30 days of the date of the application.
• Proof of either:
  • Canadian citizenship,
  • landed immigrant status, or
  • valid work permit issued by the Government of Canada
• You will be required to review and sign off on the Accessible Customer Service Etiquette Guide
• Application fees can be paid by credit card online at the time of application. 

You should receive an annual renewal notice, however even if you do not receive the renewal notice, you must renew your licence by July 31 each year by submitting all documentation and paying appropriate fee through online services.

Documents required for renewal include:

• A copy of your current, valid Class ‘G’ driver’s licence issued by the Province of Ontario.
• An Ontario driver’s abstract issued by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario within 30 days of the date of renewal.
• An original Canadian record check issued by an accredited by a Canadian police service within 30 days of the date of application.
