The Town of Oakville’s Commercial Recovery Initiative will continue into 2022 for the temporary installation of seasonal patios, bistros, and merchandising spaces on public and private lands. This program continues to support the town-wide reopening of commercial businesses in a practical and safe manner.

Patio season is now closed

Patio set-up may now start. The seasonal patio program will end on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 and all enclosures and furnishing must removed.

With the 2022 patio season beginning in early spring and extending into early winter, any proposed heating devices and tents/structures must comply with the Covered and Heated Patio Requirements and Guidelines. It is important to note that certain tents/structures may require a separate review process and building permit. Please connect with the patio team by email at patios@oakville.ca to discuss your proposal.
