Many businesses in Oakville require a licence. Holding a valid business licence ensures businesses follow by-law regulations and limitations, providing supporting documentation and security clearances which ensure consumer protection. 

In the Town of Oakville all taxicab drivers must hold a valid business license which must be renewed annually, in accordance with Licensing By-law 2018-051.
